Week October 10-13

Bonjour!  This week we will be starting our Social Studies units in grades one and two.  In grade one, we will be talking about our roles and responsibilities in our local community, school and home.  In grade two, we will be discussing our family and cultural traditions.  Perhaps you may wish to discuss some of these topics with your child as this will help them with our classroom discussions and lessons.  
We will also begin to discuss "l'halloween" and I have added some of our new songs to the YouTube page on this blog.  Halloween is an important tradition celebrated in our community and we will also be talking about some of the vocabulary words associated with this holiday.  You can see these new words on the J'aime Lire page of this blog.
